With the creation of the newly enlarged Rothschild Foundation, the trustees hope to maximize the Rothschild family’s philanthropic reach and impact.

The Rothschild Foundation supports a broad range of philanthropic activities, continuing the family’s longstanding commitment to arts and heritage, as well as organisations and groups tackling pressing issues such as the environment, sustainable development and green energy; education; and social welfare (see Areas of Interest). In addition to offering grants, the Foundation use the unique setting of Waddesdon and the Windmill Hill Archive Centre to foster dialogue and debate across our areas of interest.

The Rothschild Foundation works with a wide variety of academic, cultural, environmental, social and educational institutions, as well as other philanthropic foundations and charities, in order to fulfil its vision.
