The Rothschild Foundation supports a broad range of educational and vocational training charities both within the Buckinghamshire area and, occasionally, nationally.

One recent success story in which the Foundation was involved is School Food Plan. Put together by Henry Dimbleby and John Vincent of Leon Restaurants, School Food Plan is an independent review commissioned by Michael Gove to investigate how to increase the number of children eating healthily in schools across the UK and to define the role more broadly of cooking and growing fresh produce in schools. After Michael Gove’s recent reforms to the national curriculum, it will now be compulsory that all pupils up until the age of 14 learn the ‘principles of healthy eating and where food comes from’.

We have supported the PACE Centre – a charity based in Aylesbury which provides intensive learning programmes for children and young people with physical disabilities, such as cerebral palsy – in their First Steps Appeal for a new Early Years Centre.
