The Grants Programme has in recent years included two elements: a local programme supporting charitable and community initiatives close to Waddesdon, and a larger strategic programme targeting particular priority areas. Recent priorities have included the elderly and issues around loneliness and social isolation; young people from disadvantaged backgrounds; and ex-offenders, especially addressing the issue of re-offending through employment and training.
The Rothschild Foundation is currently undertaking a strategic review of its grant programmes and during this time we are only accepting applications under a limited local grants programme (see below).
Local and community grants
Small grants in the region of £5,000 will be made towards projects that benefit local people. Priority will be given to projects benefitting people within 5 miles of Waddesdon and within Aylesbury. The programme is broad in scope, and any charitable initiatives within the locality are eligible. Funding will generally be granted for core costs or small projects (e.g. minor refurbishment of buildings), rather than towards large capital projects.
Applications for this programme should be made via the online application form by following the link below. The deadline for submission is 5th September 2017, and you will hear the outcome of your application in early December. Should you have any queries, please contact us at email@example.com
